Krista Zanderson, owner and visionary of Salon Jia Rae in Santa Barbara, CA, is so totally LPP! As a cutting edge business woman, she understands that going green is the way to save more green. Here are a few of the salon’s eco elements that you can easily incorporate into your salon or home: installing a tank-less water heater (you’ll love the fact that you’ll never run out of hot water since it heats on demand unlike old school tanks), water based paint, recycling bins, eco-friendly air conditioning system (alternate idea: make sure to change your filters often and bump up the thermostat, even 2 degrees can save major energy consumption) and use green products (LPP haircare of course, cleaning agents, paper goods, lighting). |

In addition, they slashed their prices on cuts from $60 to $25 (without blowout) and donated all monies to the Surfrider Foundation. Now that is what Give Love, Get Peace is all about! |
“I believe that business owners have an obligation to give back to the community in direct proportion to their success,” says Zanderson, a 14 year professional and TIGI Colour educator. Zanderson is joined by three accomplished stylists; Terri Hudson, Lety Pantoja and Brianna Kenney. All of whom make their own efforts at lessoning their carbon footprint by walking to work and utilizing the public transit system. |
